Loudoun Quarries was first opened in 1961 to provide stone products for concrete and other construction purposes in the Sterling and Herndon, Virginia area. It was subsequently bought by Chantilly Crushed Stone, Inc. in 1963.

Loudoun Quarries has since expanded to include all of Northern Virginia, including: Leesburg, Purcellville, Round Hill, Waterford, and Hillsboro.
